How to become a Dispatch Manager

You would normally move into this role after gaining relevant supervisory experience, whether by working through the ranks or moving into the role from a similar field.

Some prospective employers may prefer graduates while others will consider industry experience and personal qualities in preference to formal qualifications.

In terms of formal qualifications, the subjects studied can often be flexible, however, a degree, HND/HNC or foundation degree in fields such as management, business, IT or economics may be advantageous.

Some firms operate management trainee schemes for those who hold a foundation degree or a degree in a suitable subject. Trainees are able to enter the profession with limited industry experience and follow a structured career progression programme.
