The Institute of Carpenters, founded in 1890, has a very long association with SkillBuild and is delighted to be supporting both the Carpentry and Joinery competitions in the Stretch Test challenge. The Institute aims to aid employability by recognising excellence in the art, craft, science and practice of carpentry and joinery.

FIS will be attending and encouraging members to get behind the SkillBuild to ensure key interior trades such as Drylining, Plastering and Carpentry and Joinery have a strong presence in the competition and we use the opportunity that SkillBuild provides to promote the sector.

The Brick Development Association (BDA) is a leading trade association in the UK that represents manufacturers and suppliers of clay bricks and pavers. The BDA advocates the use of clay bricks as the sustainable choice in construction and provides technical information, training, and research to support the industry.
