Why do you love construction?

My role is very diverse so every day is different, but if I had to pick one thing that I really like to do in my job, it would be reviewing the legal documentation involved with the delivery of a construction project. It’s also great to see the progression of a build when you’re on-site and gain first-hand experience of the technology used in delivering a successful project.

What would you say to someone thinking about applying to become a Construction Ambassador?

The construction industry involves a wide variety of disciplines, from on-site operatives to construction managers and engineers, and people need to know about what these roles do in the grander scheme of things. We need a diverse group of people, and I believe that the construction industry can cater to all individuals regardless of background or education.

There are many routes that lead to the same outcome, but if people aren’t aware that there is no one right way to get into construction, we might be missing out on some great new talent in the industry!
