6. Thanks to Kimberly Hepburn who took over our Instagram for #TakeoverTuesday!

Hey! My name is Kimberly Hepburn aka @misskimhepburn and welcome to my #TakeoverTuesday and life as a quantity surveying apprentice for @transportforlondon! Thanks so much for this opportunity @GoConstructUK! Since starting my #apprenticeship in 2014, I have been launched into roles across business placements providing authentic hands-on experience on some of the biggest infrastructure projects happening in London. This is all to help prepare me for becoming an asset to the company and #construction industry. As an apprentice quantity surveyor at the #NorthernLineExtension, I help maintain a positive commercial relationship between the developers and #TfL. Commercial management is about ensuring value for money, in a nutshell. As a QS, we bring cost expertise to the discussion, considering quality and time impacts too. I’m also a part-time BSc Quantity Surveying #undergrad @LSBU, working towards the academic qualification I need to become a #charteredsurveyor with the RICS. There’s something special about being educated by the industry you work in, in a company that cares about your personal development needs. #northernlineextension #northernline #citb #transportforlondon #everyjourneymatters #lovesurveying #surveyingthefuture #rics #rics150 #ricsmatrics #apprenticeship #apprentice #careersinconstruction #womeninconstruction #womenintransport #notjustforboys #ilovemyjob #yearofengineering #nextgeneration #careergoals #careerconfidence #stemambassador #construction
