Sustainability managers/co-ordinators oversee the implementation of sustainability strategies during a project.
Salaries typically depend on location, employer and level of responsibility. Salaries and career options improve with chartered status.
As this is a senior role, a BSc Honours Degree, L6 NVQ/HNC or Scottish equivalent in engineering, construction or sustainability will likely to be required. For some positions, you may also need to have a Masters Degree, or chartered status with a relevant body.
Experience is often very important too, so entrants with other qualifications might be considered; for example, those with extensive knowledge of logistics, low or zero-carbon technology, or in depth knowledge of building regulations.
