Spotlight on CITB’s National Construction College

This year, all three CITB National Construction College (NCC) sites - Bircham Newton, Inchinnan and Erith - will take part in Open Doors.

Visitors will get an exclusive look at the skills, equipment and facilities that help thousands of apprentices and trainees launch rewarding careers in construction, every year.

Why choose construction?

Construction offers more than a job; it’s a career that builds your skills, confidence and future.

With over 180 different roles and more than 100 apprenticeships to choose from, there’s something for everyone. The average UK construction salary is now over £44,000 a year, nearly £9,000 above the national average. The industry also needs to recruit around 50,000 extra workers every year to keep up with demand.

There’s never been a better time to explore what construction careers offer and a site visit could be just the start of your journey.
