Anyone working in the construction industry can be a Go Construct STEM Ambassador - all you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to share your experiences.
Whether you’re just starting your career or retired, a tradesperson, office-based, senior director, or working within manufacturing or the supply chain, we’re looking for people with a variety of experiences and occupational roles to showcase the many varied careers available in our sector.

What does an Ambassador do?
Ambassadors bring the construction industry to life. They engage with young people at educational events across the UK to raise aspirations, illuminate career options and support learning.
There’s no single way to be an Ambassador - whether you prefer hands-on workshops, presentations or online mentoring, you can choose something that suits you.
Ambassadors are involved in a range of activities, including:
- Taking part in practical sessions with young people in classroom settings
- Talking about your role, career path and route to construction
- Presenting or taking part in careers fairs
- Delivering a STEM challenge to a youth organisation
- Supporting STEM Clubs inside or outside of school
- Hosting networking sessions with teachers and careers advisers
- Providing one-to-one mentorship to those just starting out
- Supporting CV writing and mock interviews for those about to leave school
- Hosting site visits and work experience for young people, including Open Doors events
- Working with groups or individuals online and remotely
- Creating content for social media and marketing campaigns.

Our partnership with STEM Learning
Since 2021, Go Construct has collaborated with STEM Learning, the UK’s leading ambassador programme, to create the Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme - the largest construction-specific STEM programme.
STEM Learning’s vision is to deliver world-leading STEM education for every young person in the country and is supported by 11 regional STEM Delivery Partners offering training, continuous personal development, support, opportunities and local expertise.
Their self-service digital platform acts as a one-stop-shop for online inductions, safeguarding training, and finding and attending events.
