COVID-19

19th March @ 00:00

Due to the ongoing development of the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, in the interests of the health and safety of our Ambassadors and those receiving an Ambassador experience, CITB has made the following decision:

We have decided to postpone all Ambassador events including Ambassador training until the end of April 2020, at which time we will review the situation and communicate directly with both the hosts and Ambassadors of any affected event and inform them of the policy going forward. As the situation is changing quickly we have also decided that we will not be taking any future bookings for all Ambassador services until further notice. We will communicate directly with our Ambassador network to update them of any changes to the situation. Any other stakeholders should refer to this page for update or contact the Ambassador operations team for further support (ca@citb.co.uk).

Why become an Ambassador?

Anyone can be a Construction Ambassador; you just need to be passionate about the construction industry and willing to share your career experiences with others. What is important is that you can help new entrants see the fantastic opportunities that are available in construction.

It's a great opportunity to:

  • To inspire the next generation of young people to take up a career in the Construction Industry.
  • To pass on your skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to potential new entrants so that together we can close the skills gap that we are facing within the Industry.
  • To enhance your own personal development within the Industry and to give something back to those starting out.

Ambassador Training

After applying to become a construction ambassador, the Go Construct team will email you with details of the next training induction course in your area. This interactive one day course will enable you to become an effective construction ambassador. Once you have completed the course you will be ready to start presenting at events.

If your employer is looking to host an in-house training event, they will inform you directly of the venue and dates that have been selected.

Why request an Ambassador?
