These drawings are the same ones you’ll work from at your Regional Qualifier, though some information, such as the precise measurements, has been omitted. By making them available in advance, we want to give competitors more time to prepare, practise and fully understand what will be expected of you on the day.

This change is designed to give everyone the opportunity to arrive confident, prepared and ready to perform at your best.

How to use these drawings

Traditionally, Regional Qualifier drawings are only shared with competitors on the day of the competition. For 2026, we’re trialling a new approach.

We encourage you to study the drawings ahead of your Regional Qualifier to:

  • Familiarise yourself with the project layout and requirements
  • Practise interpreting drawings accurately
  • Plan your approach and time management in advance
  • Identify any areas where further support or training may be useful

Tutors and employers can also use the drawings to support structured practice sessions and skills development ahead of the Regional Qualifiers.

The 2026 Regional Qualifiers will still be run under the same SkillBuild competition rules (PDF, 552KB)
